Welcome Letter from Ariana Chacón, Class of ‘26
Secretary General

Hello, esteemed delegates,
My name is Ariana, and I am honored to serve as your Secretary-General for this year’s conference.

I am truly excited to be part of the leadership team for the Model United Nations conference here in Antigua, Guatemala. From my own experience, this event has helped me grow not only as a student but also as a person. MUN fosters teamwork, critical thinking, and leadership in a way that is both challenging and inspiring.

This year’s theme, “Shaping Tomorrow,” invites us all to take an active role in building a better future. It challenges us to discover new strengths and abilities while approaching the world with curiosity, resilience, and an open mind. It reminds us that even the smallest actions can inspire others and demonstrate our capacity to create meaningful change.

Through international connections, diplomacy, and critical thinking, we have the tools to work together to address today’s global challenges. In this sense, the theme is both a responsibility and an opportunity: to collaborate, to contribute with purpose, and to shape the world we aspire to live in.

I am thrilled for the 2026 conference and cannot wait to meet all of you, hear your ideas, and watch you grow as globally aware leaders. ANTIGUA MUN will be an enriching and joyful experience—one where you will not only learn but also create friendships and lasting memories.

Get inspired, and prepare to inspire others as together we shape tomorrow!

Ariana Chacón, Secretary General
AntiguaMUN 2026

Carta de Bienvenida de Ariana Chacón, Promoción 2026
Secretaria General

Queridos delegados,

Assistant Secretary General

My name is Miranda Roskam, and I am honored to serve as this year’s Assistant Secretary-General of the English committees. What excites me most, however, is the opportunity to be part of the AntiguaMUN secretariat one final time before I graduate.

Throughout my high school years, I have participated in several Model United Nations conferences—including PANAMUN and CancunMUN—where I gained valuable experience as a delegate. Since the very first AntiguaMUN, I have also had the privilege of serving in leadership roles, which has been an incredibly rewarding journey.

I am truly looking forward to getting to know and working alongside all of you to ensure that this year’s conference is both memorable and impactful. Together, we will make AntiguaMUN an experience you will never forget.

**********
