Fredsy Moklebust Tres
Ms. Fredsy is originally from Guatemala City. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Initial and Early Childhood Education from Universidad Rafael Landivar, and a master's degree in Higher Education from the Universidad del Istmo -UNIS- She is currently studying a master's degree in Psychopedagogy at the International University of La Rioja (UNIR).
 Fredsy has more than 20 years of experience  teaching from Early Childhood to the university level where she has taught courses in Clinical Psychology at the Universidad San Carlos de Guatemala. She is passionate about learning new strategies and tools.

Alejandra Martinez - Assistant Teacher
​Originally from San Antonio Aguas Calientes, Alejandra holds a PEM in Hospitality and Home Management from Univeridad del ISTMO. She is currently completing  a degree in Social Work from  Universidad Rafael Landívar.  Her hobbies include running, listening to music,  playing soccer and basketball, and spending time with her family.

Ms. Majo is from Guatemala and holds a B.A. in Education with a specialization in Special Needs from Universidad del Valle de Guatemala and a Diploma in Early Childhood Care from Holland College, Canada.  Over  the last 16+ years, she has worked at the American School of Guatemala, Abegweit First Nation Early Year Centre, UPEI Campus Kids Daycare, The Mothership Childcare Center, and Holland College Early Year Centre, PEI, Canada.​

Ms. Camila Chioc
Ms. Camila is originally from San Pedro Yepocapa, Chimaltenango, and has 3 years of teaching experience. She holds a degree in Early Childhood and is currently studying for a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood at Universidad Rafael Landívar. We are proud to share that Ms. Camila was part of the first Teacher Training Center cohort. One of her goals is to help her community by significantly impacting education.

Ms. Jennifer Monroy
Ms. Jennifer is originally from Antigua Guatemala, and has 10 years of teaching experience. Ms. Jennifer holds a Physical and Occupational Therapy degree and a bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy. She is a few months away from completing a degree in Early Childhood at Universidad Rafael Landívar. We are proud to share that


​Ms. Jennifer was part of the first Teacher Training Center cohort. She considers herself a person who likes to learn and works with respect, responsibility, perseverance, creativity, and empathy to achieve her goals and dreams.

Ms. Hicel Cualio

Ms. Hicel is originally from Antigua, Guatemala, and is a few months away from completing a degree in Early Childhood at Universidad Rafael Landívar. She plans to continue her professional training with a Bachelor of Education to further develop her passion for educating young learners. We are proud to share that Ms. Hicel was part of the first Teacher Training Center cohort.

​She considers herself an active, creative, innovative and effective person, especially since she always strives to get ahead.

Ms. Jenifer Cos
Ms. Jenifer is originally from Antigua Guatemala and holds a degree in Early Childhood Education. She is currently studying in her last semester of a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood at Universidad Rafael Landívar. We are proud to share that Ms. Jenifer was part of the first Teacher Training Center cohort. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, walking, appreciating the sunset and nature, preparing educational material, and cooking. Ms. Jenifer says, "Teaching is learning many times. Let's aim for a comprehensive and quality education!"

Ms. Angela Tubac
​Ms. Angela is originally from San Martín Jilotepeque, Chimaltenango and has 4 years of teaching experience. She holds an associate´s degree in Early Childhood Education and is currently pursuing a bachelor degree in Education and Learning at Universidad Rafael Landívar. We are proud to share that Ms. Angela was part of the second cohort of the Teacher Training Center. One of her goals is to continue developing in the field of neuroeducation to impact the teaching-learning process of elementary and early childhood students. Ms. Isabel Velásquez
​Ms. Isabel is originally from Antigua Guatemala, Sacatepéquez. She has a bachelor degree in clinical psychology. Last school year, she was supporting ECP as a volunteer in the Student Services area. She enjoys spending time with her family and outdoors. One of her hobbies is knitting and enjoying good food. She describes herself as self-taught and likes to learn. She is also responsible and committed to our young students' mental health. Welcome, Ms. Isabel, to the ECP community!

Sheyla Recinos
Ms. Sheyla has more than 20 years of teaching experience. She firmly believes that early education is  the most important stage in a person's life. To support her teaching in this area she has
​a certification in Montessori Methodology from Universidad del Istmo,  and she is currently studying  in ASED Guatemala  to obtain further Montessori accreditations.

Diana Cajas
Ms. Diana was born and raised in Guatemala. She has been a teacher since 2012. Diana holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. She studied in Mexico City for an AMI Montessori Guide certificate and worked in Colorado for the past three years. She loves to travel and learn about different cultures. Last year she studied a Master's Degree in Psychology of childhood and adolescence and another Master's Degree in Montessori Pedagogy. She truly believes that education is the future for our country!

Sheyla Hernández
Ms. Sheyla has been part of AIS  for the last 4 years. She is currently the PreK Spanish teacher and she loves learning and playing with children. She studied Hearing, Voice and Language Therapy at Universidad Rafael Landivar, specializing in Sign Language.  Her favorite activity is traveling with her family and visiting the many beautiful places in Guatemala.

Alejandra Solis
Ms. Alejandra is originally from Guatemala. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Administration.  She also holds  a Master's Degree in Educational Innovation and certification as a Montessori teacher. Furthermore, she earned a certificate in Teaching Writing in Spanish following Balanced Literacy Units of Study from the Teachers College, Columbia University. She has 14 years of teaching experience.

​She has worked at the Decroly Americano and Suizo Americano Schools.

Ms. Andrea Galy 
Ms. Andrea is originally from Antigua Guatemala. She has experience as a Montessori guide, Early Childhood English language teacher, and creator of manipulative material. Ms. Andrea holds
​a bachelor's degree in Education and Learning. In addition, she has a certification in Psychopedagogy. 

​Ms. Andrea considers herself a passionate teacher who constantly develops to improve her educational quality and provide her best knowledge to Early Childhood students since she considers it as a fundamental stage with great learning opportunities.

Ms. Amanda is a passionate educator with a degree in Early Childhood Education from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. With over 10 years of experience in the field, she has worked as a teacher and in leadership roles in Early Childhood Education in the US and abroad.
Ms. Amanda considers Guatemala her second home. Her dedication to nurturing young minds and creating impactful learning experiences drives her commitment to fostering a positive and supportive educational environment.

Ms. Valeska is originally from Guatemala and has 10 years of teaching experience. She worked for five years in Colorado, USA, and is happy to be back in her beautiful Guatemala. She holds a bachelor's degree in Psychopedagogy and Learning Disorders from Universidad Galileo. Mr. Wuilmer is originally from Pastores, Sacatepéquez. He is a physical education and sports teacher. He is currently pursuing his master's degree in Sports Training at Galileo University. We are proud to share that Mr. Wuilmer was a coach for AIS afternoon activities for 4 years. He considers himself a responsible, happy person who enjoys spending time with his family, getting to know new places, and keeping up to date in his career. He seeks to inspire people of all ages to do physical activity in order to promote mental and physical health. Welcome, Mr. Wuilmer, to the ECP community!
