The city of Antigua is located in Sacatepequez, Guatemala. For many years, Antigua was the political, religious and economic heart of Central America. Many of the original colonial buildings are still standing today. Antigua is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is the most visited town for tourists who come to Guatemala.

​With trendy bars, good food, charming markets and amazing outdoor activities, the city is diverse and the charm of its past still echoes through the streets. 


Life in Antigua is unlike any other place in Guatemala. It is a safe, quiet town with lots of activities for all interests!

​Foodies are well catered to in La Antigua, where a new, undiscovered restaurant is always just around the corner. From Hector’s bistro to Canela’s bakery, find options for all dietary needs at local restaurants, farmer’s markets and grocery stores.

Antigua is also a great place for those who love the outdoors. Surrounded by three volcanoes, the town offers many opportunities for hiking, ATV tours and mountain biking. Experience Lake Atitlan - kayaking, paddle boarding, cliff jumping - just a two hour drive away. Additionally, the pacific coast is an hour and half away and offers amazing options for family beach getaways, surfing and seafood.
