The COVID19 pandemic caused the entire world to turn upside down. AIS was no exception. Faced with the sudden closing of the campus on March 16th, AIS had to act and respond quickly to ensure learning continuity. Our teachers had one day to meet and work on procedures and plans, then they were online for the next three months. During those months, the administration attended webinars, researched and created new guidelines and expectations for teachers, parents and students. AIS Distance Learning is based on live stream sessions to ensure interaction between the students and teachers, as well as pre-recorded video lessons to ensure students can access lessons at any time convenient to the family.
Almost exactly a year later, AIS opens its doors once again to offer a hybrid learning program for students. This program consists of the Distance Learning program and in person technical classes such as Music, Art, Physical Education and a few electives for high school students.
